A fantastic turnout at historic Famoso Raceway proved to be a near-perfect formula for an exciting event. Thanks to the eager competitors and generous sponsors for making the race a reality!

Weston Family Racing 

 

 

Leah Pruett, in the Flat Out powered Python dragster was able to get the edge over Niki Hamlett, piloting the Freer Family machine out of Lewisville, North Carolina. A holeshot aided 4.554 held off the fast charging 4.516 in the finals.

 When Lauren Freer was unable to compete, Nitro Niki got the nod to jump behind the wheel of the super-quick & consistent Family hot rod. She ripped off a 4.495 in the first round! 

 

 Lynn "ChooChoo" Haddock was on hand, turning the wrenches for the Milanesio team. Derik used the Whaley horsepower to qualify fifth and ran a 4.530 best in the first round. 

   

 

 

  Ryan Valandingham impressed the crowd with a stout 4.500 to qualify in the number two position and a fantastic semi-final finish. 

 

 

 Jack Belli took home the Low Qualifier prize, he also had a strong semi-final finish in the all-new California car.

FINAL QUALIFYING ORDER

 Dustin Lee was able to get Andrew Madrids' immaculate dragster into the show.

Tricia Pizana did very well in her first event.

Ty Sanders got the job done in the Vegas-based entry, Luke Diaz in the far lane struggled a bit, but was in the 4-second zone.

Casey Grisel had the Cheetah Car hauling, his reaction times were top-notch as well!

Zoë Stevens made it to the quarter-finals where she lost to Leah.

The Freer Family took the long-distance award and the runner-up machine back to North Carolina

Niki & Lauren

Jenica Milanesio lost in the quarter-finals to eventual Runner-up Nitro Niki.
